G'day peeps, I'm still on training wheels with all this stacking stuff and would like to get some suggestions as to where I can find some reputable dealers on the Northside. It would make it easier to drop in on a regular basis to keep an eye on what's available and to also ask more questions. Thanks in advance
I am in North North Brisbane and the only coin dealers I know go to the Sunday Markets at Caboolture and Redcliffe. The Redcliffe guy is a bit under the weather and hasn't been around lately. There are a few coin shops in Brisbane but unless you want to look at really expensive coins which you can't afford then I find that online is usually best for prices. They are ok to ask questions to but the ones I saw weren't really set up for teaching, they kind of expected you to know what you were after and were intending to pay for it then and there. The only bullion place I thought about going to was a few years ago and there was a silver "shortage" and they couldn't get anything in for six weeks so I never ended up going. Someone with some more local knowledge might know of some decent ones, I have met a few people at the Silver Stackers meetigs in Brisbane who were dealers but I haven't used them. The meetigs are a good place to learn and get started though.
There is a coin show once a month I believe in West End, miht pay to visit it? I will try dig up the reference

Leadchukka there's a 'coin shop' in the CBD that should be avoided at all costs. Members here have complained about not getting what they ordered only to be threatened with litigation on both member and GP when customers complained here. Said shop also would have staff register as members here to monitor and even bait members into complaining so they could once again threaten legal action. i.e. join up and then start fishing for complaints about their shop. Don't bother asking me who they are... even by PM... no offence intended, but for all I know u could be a shill. Not that I care, but I just don't want GP to have another w@nker to deal with. My advice is to avoid the Brisbane CBD 'coin shops' and get your coins off the larger established bullion dealers.
This one... http://www.brisbanecoinfairs.com/ I think it is in Feb and Oct only, but well worth a visit, a couple of stackers usually turn up early and deplete all the low premium silver so get in quick.
Brilliant!! You guys are legends. Thanks for the advice. I've been buying through KJC, Goldstackers, OzBullion and some members. I think I'll stick to these for now @ hiho & Jislizard, thanks for the links, got 'em bookmarked
All good, no offence taken mate. I realise I need to 'pay my dues', too many keyboard heroes on the interweb these days . We have the same issues on a shooting forum I'm on. I fricken hate trolls! For now most of my posts will be questions as I'm still on the green side of stacking. I just wanted to gauge whether there were any other sources worth checking.
is that the one in the crappy little store next to the arcade where they sell the cream puffs? ( when walking from cream puff place to anzac square it is a hole in the wall shop there im thinking thats it)
