Ahoy, My noobish approach to buying gold includes taking cash to a brick and mortar shop in Sydney and buying generic bullion gold coins for a hopefully decent price. From my research the only two shops for this are ABC and Haggards, then KJC as a third option but margins seem to be considerably higher. Are there any other shops that can be considered? Thanks for your input, Cheers!
Another one to consider. Bullion list Simon (Roo) used to be sponsor on this site years ago many great deals in those earlier years! Not sure on pricing now. Has a website Cheer$
Don't think Simon is associated with Bullion List any more. Give Jo (female) a call or email. https://www.bullionlist.com.au/ Her prices on some items inc fractional gold are were very good v the other retailers. She may even price match if you find a better price for the same item....if you smile and ask nicely. Unless KJC have a screaming bargain, their prices are usually at the upper end of retail pricing. ABC ain't bad. Used to do decent "buy back" until a couple of year ago...worth keeping an eye on their web site just in case. If you don't mind buying over the phone / web site, check out : https://bullionnow.com.au/ from Melbourne. Some of the sharper pricing in retail. Good people to deal with.
