nice one Gazza! the old Perth Mint stuff ages well eh
The back is perfect due to the coin sitting in its box but that side was facing up and is toning beautifully.
Mmmmm smells like honey
Clueless , Stackers miss out so much around ere.
The Black is called "Gun Metal Grey" -- its a nice toning but better when deeper (ie 100yrs +)
Adds authenticity and shows its in an original state (untampered)
I love the Wabi Sabi asethic of a heavily toned / patinaed silver coin.. it is one aspect that makes silver so unqiue and very much something i love about silver.
When buying Antique Silver.. understanding patina is vital.. cleaners of silver disturb me as its 100% in vein.. you waste your time and make the item look worse, it will tone back in a worse state.. you lose.. leave your silver alone and let it succumb to wabi sabi like it should!
