    $491 USD... getting craaaaazy...

3000 CNY might be a bigger breakthrough though if that's where the volume is at.

    edit - $493

    This is crazy!

I definitely got out earlier than I should have, but buying back in now is a risky proposition!

not if its on its way to $1000. theres really no sign of it dropping, bitcoin has only significantly dropped after an extreme 2 day peak. this has been sustained growth where even a small drop has been met with support.

disclaimer that this is a new currency where old prediction models do not apply.

Is anyone thinking of selling up a bit before the US Gov meets about Bitcoin tomorrow? (well Tuesday for us)

    $507 USD!

I think there's money piling in before the 18th Nov meeting speculating on news from that.

Will have to adjust my outlandish opportunistic sell orders shortly - they're about to become average prices :/

Probably the first article I've read in a long time that didn't have an obligatory Silk Road reference somewhere.

    Interesting.

Although I think whatever happens with news from that meeting, will make the price swing one way or another.

LTC hasn't moved with BTC during this run up, like it mostly does.

    BTC just keeps churning higher.

LTC with its limited liquidity, when it does move, will probably double very quickly.

    Just my thoughts.

Give it another day or two, LTC usually has a bit of lag.

Agree with your comment about liquidity. I suppose this will come later as Bitcoin moves into the "mainly as an investment" corner with gold. Of course there is divisibilty with Bitcoin but investors aren't usually thinking in fractions when it comes to their holdings.

I wonder if Bitcoin will actually level out with the price of gold given the oft touted similarities?

I learnt my lesson in the earlier part of 2013 (March/April). When exactly the same things about LTC were being discussed (LTC vs BTC yada yada yada)

IMO, don't count on LTC reacting to BTC. You will see BTC soar and light coin stagnate at best. Sure, LTC may rocket (especially if Mt. Gox takes it on) but.. HAVE BOTH. end of story
