My super level and amounts going in doesn't really justify setting up a SMSF. However I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a decent Superannuation company. One that has mining as a key part of it's strategy would obviously suit a Silver Stacker but I'm not really too phased.
Surly Choice have done a comparison, Join Choice and have a look. There should be plenty of performance studies undertaken and availabel i'm sure. First State Super and I understand that West State Super - or whatever they are called now (GSIS or something), have been frequently good performers and have low fees. This is not a recommendation though.
Just be aware that this forum does not constitute formal investment advice. Have a read through the SMSF threads - I'm sure there were some members doing it with balances as low as $15k. You need to decide whether you think your personal choice of investments will outperform a retail fund with your available balance to the degree where you will still be ahead after audit fees etc.
