Hi, I have what appears to be a 1970 two cent coin missing the reverse press. It weighs and measures what iv been told it should and had no reaction to a magnet so I believe it warrants further investigation by a professional? If so where do I start because on the very very slim chance it's genuine i wouldn't want to leave it with just anybody and I'm over 3 hours away from the nearest coin shop anyway. Is PCGS ultimately my only choice? Thank you. Ps more than happy to post photos if I can work out how to!

The better the reputation, the less likely something will happen to it. If you want it verified/graded you'll have to leave it with someone anyway so may aswell be PCGS.

The blank side next to another two cent. I'll get some better photos when the uploaded stops being faulty.

    10 cents! :D

It would be a strange thing to forge, so if one side looks good (genuine), you'd rather expect it to be so.
How did you come across it?

I'm still working on getting a photo up of the other side but for some reason it keeps uploading the first one again. It was found in an old world coin collection album I bought at an auction which turned out to be a great buy as iv found quiet a few rare coins in it. The other side is a press from 1970 that's exactly the same as another 1970 2C so I'm hoping its genuine. It's getting sent to PCGS soon along with some other coins I found.

Pretty sure it worked this time- if it reads 1970 then that's the other side.
