Bering Sea Gold is back on for a new series. From the first episode's credit roll it looks like someone dies of hypothermia next week.

The guy that dies in John Bunce. But he doesnt die from diving, he suicides a couple of months into the season.
Bit unimpressed with the producers after watching episode 2 - a guy with clear mental health issues tries to get a job on one of the boats, flips out because there isn't a spare weight belt, so the camera crews chase him down as he storms off having an episode. Guy needed help, not a voyeur cam shoved in his face. Looked like an ex-navy dude with some serious issues.
This season is crap. I liked season 1 because it was all about the gold (mostly). This season is getting dragged with WAY too much drama and not enough gold.
They dont even show all the cleanups anymore. You might see a bit of a cleanup from 1 boat and then just a total for the other boats. I wanna see gold !
Is is just me .. or are those characters picked just because they are so unlikeable ? After watching Season 1 and Under the Ice .. I cant bring myself to watch Season 2. Dont get me wrong - I love the premise, but just cant stand their personalities.
They're all getting on my nerves, the only characters I like are the guy from wild ranger (don't know his name, not Steve or the owner) and the wild ranger's owner's blonde daughter

Sad that this show "promos" john bunce's suicide at the end of nearly all of its first 9 episodes. 9 episodes and probably 6 have included a promo about the suicide indicating it will be covered in an upcoming episode. Sad to try and cash in on a guys death like that.
They just keep on milking bunce's suicide for all its worth. Latest episode shows a snippet of what happened. Seems Zeke knocks on bunces door and he opens the door and shoots himself. But you have to wait till next week to get the full details. Real sad the way a suicide is being strung out to maximize ratings.
