    That's why it's hollywood. Or are you hinting at the fact that whatever we see in newsmedia, as well, may be digitally constructed.

    How fortuitous - just discussing similar tonight. My dear departed Dad's answer to our "how come" questions was always "optical illusion" - he was an excellent photographer and worked in the deep space industry in the 60s and 70s - so he saw much new technology well before it became public - and no - the landing on the moon was not an "optical illusion" - he was working at Parkes for the landing.

    it is scary stuff and well worth keeping in mind. whats even more worrying is hologram technology is fairly advanced now too

    I think most of us know about it and some scenes are expected to have been created in that manner. However the extent of its use is what is unexpected considering some scenes are not so complicated to do in a real situation eg: walk in a park or whatever.

    It is the fact that now there is not even an attempt to make use of the real world in many cases that is particularly deceiving, even if not maliciously so.
