I am new to silver stacking and feel a little stupid asking this question

Is it ok to just store PM and PAMP single bars in SDB the way they are or should they be packaged in something to prevent things happening to the bars long term?

I hear people say to keep them away from water and not to bury them so I figure they should be ok in a vault but it doesn't hurt to ask

The way they are is fine.

I think it is recommended to store anything that can be damaged by water in somekind of protective barrier. I don't know if its true but I read somewhere that if there is a fire or the sprinklers fail you can get water inside the safe deposit box

First rule of stacking- obscurity is your security. Don't go telling a public forum what you have!

Second rule- get used to price drops after buying. Blame SilverPete for the last one.

Third rule: only buy what you can afford with disposable income.
