That's one weird looking Kookaburra! [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/6077_dragon.jpg][/imgz]
Maggie posted earlier about a future Gainsville group buy.. they've some 1992 Kooks advertised, I'm not sure they'll still be there when the order goes in. I'm tempted to add one of these to a NZ Dragon order (I'm still mulling this one over; I'm supposed to be stacking bullion silver, not collecting coins, but some of the NZ and Aus coins are soooo pretty ) http://www.gainesvillecoins.com/products/159797/1992-australian-kookaburra-1-oz-silver-coin.aspx edit: '... some of the NZ and Aus ..'
Year Coin Series Description Mintage Sales 1992 The Australian Kookaburra $1 1oz Bullion Kookaburra Coin 1992 300,000 198,356
I'd be careful, I have sent 2 emails to them asking if they're in capsules and no reply. They wouldn't be at that price if they were in perfect condition surely...
thank - sorry noob question but how do they get hold with so many old coin? just for personal collectors/sellers or is perth mint reproducing these coins again. if yes, why??????
Ben from bullionbourse just emailled to say he thinks they are in the square capsules, minty fresh kooks
I was going to get them but they don't sell for a premium anyway. If you look on ebay completed listings they go for around $40 on average so you will just be breaking even after fees when you try to sell. I think these won't be in rolls, didn't they come in square capsules at that time ?
Yes, but certainly ATM by far the best deal out there on bullion 1 oz coins... better then mooses as no milk spot + capsule
