I'm thinking of buying this one from a friend, theres approx. 5.7 ounces of pure silver in it. the 3 big coins are sterling silver. Its the Panama 1975 Balboa set. If you were buying it how much more over spot would you pay for it or would be just spot?
I have 3 sets of these. The last set I bought I paid $169 which at that time was just under spot about 6wks ago.. I have a single large coin in this set on layby for $105.(ASW is about 3.6oz if I remember correctly) At times I get to buy these proof sets at prices well under spot but then I have doubts about will I be able to sell if the time comes to do so. What would you do? Buy it or let it go. They sure are nice coins and even the non silver ones are nice to look at. Regards Errol43
Ive got a set which i bought last year for spot, nice coins I reccon. Got me interested in collecting Panama circulated coins too
Agentum. I would offer #$200 and even go to $210 which is just below spot. They are a nice set of proof coins. I have 3 sets. The last one I got for $169 about 2months ago when the spot price was around $33. Regards Errol43
