I have silver and gold mining shares with in a SIPP which is a "self investment pension plan" in the UK
I know that banks can take peoples money via bail ins.
Is there a way that governments can take peoples pensions or stocks and shares in a financial collapse ?

The Government writes the rules so they can do what ever they like, however I'm not aware of anything atm that would take peoples shares that were directly owned through the relative sponsors.
