Here is a ring that's almost finished for a stacker Just needs the final polish, hard to take photos without glare
Awesome job mate. When finished, is the coin date still distinguishable or does that get a bit munted?
The date still shows depending on where it's located in the coin and how worn the coin is to start with. I'll take a photo of 2 others I made today
Heck, I may have one for you to make a ring with. I have a classical garden. I know it would be shipping to and from, and labor...but I just may do it. It is 2 oz is that okay. I think it would be fun to show folks that I turned a medal with quality issues, into something like a ring. I know the collectors of this series will flame me, but it's my medal. lol.
Lol sounds like a nice medal, only thing is currently the biggest coin I can turn into a ring is a florin. So I will be able to make one from a peace dollar and 1937 crowns. So unfortunately I can't help you there
Just as well, that man Barsenault must have lost his mind wanting to destroy a highly collectable Classic Garden medal by having it turned into a ring. Geez, Louise...what's this world coming to? Nice work on the rings, btw. .
Waiting for someone like you to chime in. lol. It was fun to think about. lol. And I do love the idea. To wear something as a reminder of my love for Chinese medals.
Once I get the right year florin I would be interested and happy to pay for return postage too. One question though....once made is it just one size or can be made to a particular ring size?
I can size the ring for you, florins make good medium to large sizes and shillings make small to medium
I have quite a few post florins if anyone wants to put an order in and I have a few pre florins as well
