Has this ever occurred to you: Avast Antivirus scans your wallet, upon opening it and warns you about it being "suspicious software" and tells you that it's "sending it" for further investigation.

Then, your wallet's .exe file's shortcut disappears from your Desktop.

Upon checking, the entire wallet software is still on the computer.

Could Avast Antivirus also have stolen the wallet.dat file?
If so, this can give access to the entire contents of the wallet.

Secondly: what can be done in this situation?

What can you do when your wallet gets stolen?

If I have a newer wallet, then will it prevail over the older one?

Should I just encrypt my existing wallet?
(bur then the other guy could still use the non-encrypted version?)
