Lot 3: 2012 Mayan Calendar (Antique finish) medallion 2oz I can't find much info on this one - kind of rare? Lot 4: 2003 Korean War 50th Anniversary Coin and Medallion Tribute Set: 2 ounce silver kookaburra with Korean War privy, 1oz fine silver medallion, and replica Korean War medal. All to commemorate 50 years since the end of the Korean War. The 2oz has some toning on the front in the form of a darkened ring which should be apparent from the photo. Toning marks also visible on the medallion as seen in pics. Doesn't look bad in my opinion and reflects the age of the set. Starting bid (reserves): Lot 1: $350 Lot 2: $135 Lot 3: $130 Lot 4: $125 Enjoy!
I know some Casanovas will be eying the Korean War set for their missus on Valentines day (or ladies, I know mine would be getting some special treatment if I received 3oz of love!!)! No rush though - forget your late night shopping at Westfield as Elite snipers will have their day on Thurs. I'll shut up till then. Will leave you with my thoughts on these lots: Lot 1: All stunning coins, even if not completing the set there are some high-premium individual coins there, some could be transferred into regular capsules. Lot 2: Ebay arbitrage opportunity. Possibly some additional speculative upside in the future if following the war Ukraine splintered into some other form of state making old sate coins more valuable. Lot 3: The detail on this medallion is amazing. It will do very well in a Silver bull market especially with CoA. Lot 4: Kook sets often need to right buyer, but those buyers pay exorbitant premiums and the sets are very hard come-by in a bull market. Lastly, funds from this go towards dental treatment. An absolute c!nt-f!ck of an expense which I'm sure most can relate. All good accumulation options with the diminished spot price, imo. I encourage anyone to google for more info, or get in touch via PM for any queries. Cheers
As for the unloved Korean war set. If anyone local wants to make an offer between 100-120 PM me. CBF posting.
