Auction bidders playing silly buggers

    lol, I am not going there again.

    Cooling off periods only apply to the purchase of land/houses. (Section 31 of the Sale of Land Act) and that right doesn't apply to auctions of land/houses. So if you auction your house the buyer doesnt have a right to any cooling off period. The sale is done (legally) when the hammer falls.

    And I like the idea of offering the difference between the 2nd highest bid and yours:)

    I had a quick look on the sale thread concerned

    three one ounce coins

    final price above $40 per ounce while spot moves around the mid A$20's

    Looking at the bigger picture I don't see the problem

    They are known as collectibles and their price has no relation to spot.

    Quality may not beat quantity in some peoples view but its easier on your back. :)
