Back to pick your brains again.
I bought this whilst traveling in 1997 from a small town called Halls Creek in the Kimberley WA. I don't have any info on how much the nugget weighs, I just bought it cause I thought it was cool (probably did have a weight, but didn't think it important at the time). Derr
I suppose the only way to get a true weight is to have it removed from the claw? (Pendant weighs 7 grams on my cheap kitchen scales)
Has anyone heard of this mob Areton W.G ?
Is the Kimberley renowned for its gold?
Would this be worth more with the claw or without?
The current rate for nuggets per gram?
Any info would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

I dare say sterling silver, I can't see any markings on it.
I'll have to pay someone to look at it and give me the info I want, just hoping for someone to say, oh that's so and so from so an so and is worth $$$$$$$$

I would say nuggets ATM are worth around $50 per gram and yours would weight about 4-5 grams but as a pendant I would think it would be in the $225-$275 range if the claw is silver. It would be best to get it XRF tested though which would tell you the type of metal the claw is also the purity of the nugget.

    Excellent, thank you.
Would a jeweller be able to do this test?

If they have an XRF machine, if not they could at least tell you what the claw is made of.
