Are we living in a zombie economy?

Discussion in 'Markets & Economies' started by Silver bullitt, Jun 20, 2013.

  1. My first post in this forum and I hope this is the appropriate place for this
I was sitting quietly contemplating what is happening in the world lately and came up with this which I would like to share here.

The world economy DID collapse in 2008, this is what people are missing.
It has been on life support ever since and while the patient is breathing through artificial means he is brain dead and unable to live without artificial support.
Remove the artificial support and the body dies.
It's already done and dusted folks and once we finish deluding ourselves that our dear brother is still alive, accept the inevitable, then we can remove the life support and let him go.
That's when we can start again.
The old system is already dead, no inevitability about it.
we are living in a zombie economy.

The only question is how long before people realize it's dead and lose all confidence?

    Welcome.

    A good first post!

Yes, its the end of an era and while the powers that be try to maintain the status quo, the transition to the next paradigm is not going to be easy I dare say.

Good post bullitt. I agree with your theory that it died in 08 and is now on palliative care.
