Are these sovereigns(half)

    I only have these 2 pictures to work with can anyone tell me whether this could be something else with the same head and tail but made from copper from one of the colonies?

    I would like to see some form of scale for size reasons as well ? Gather that is not possible though. I know Crowns looked similar however they were Silver. Someone playing around who knows.

    Those are not sovereigns ,they are small fake coins that we put inside a pie that we call () in Greece, we cut it at the new years day and every member of the family gets one piece..
    The one who gets the slice with the coin is the lucky one of the new year..:)

    That is fascinating..it echoes the English tradition of small silver coins in plum pudding at Christmas.

    Do you happen to know what metal they are made from?

    100% brass from what I recall and the coin is called flouri vasipitas. Or something like that.

    Edit: Flouri vasilopitas... so close :D
