As many have mentioned, Apmex was offering to buy 1oz silver dragons for $85/coin. The $85 price offer is no longer listed and no offer is listed at all. I am curious as to what they will now pay for dragons.

I had asked them if they buy dragons, got a reply "we have thousands in stock"

They've probably had stock all along and just wanted to capitalize on the high prices being paid by everyone outside of Australia.

Lol, australian dealers, milking apmex dry.

Now they have to wait for a while before they can sell at their asking $100 a pop.

They bought 1000 dragons for $85, but sales slowed down. Once stock level drops they might buy some more.

Almost worth buying a thousand from ainslie for 60 and taking them to apex and getting 85 for each... 25 profit a coin.

A lot of people on this forum bought that at $100 a piece, and on US eBay many are still ending for over $100 because they can still save a few bucks compared to the shipping costs from online dealers.

I'm sure that they sent thousands of them to PCGS and NGC to get them graded, as well. Right now they're not selling in any kind of volume because they're overpriced for a new issue. At some point I'd guess they'll lower the price until they start moving.

If you want to know how many they have in stock, enter 10,000 in the order box and a pop-up will show you how many they have available. It's laughable. You can keep on checking and see it's dropping by a couple a day. Same with the proof and proof sets that they're trying to hit a home run with, so far they've sold 2 1oz proofs and 0 of the sets.

At those prices, they'll be giving them names and keeping them as pets.

A bit hard to source enough to meet this even if they were paying $85
