Late penny - Printed on just one side, the other side is the blank planchet.

Any ideas on a realistic value ?

    Pics? Oh, I found it - $15 :D

I would ask for a side on view.

Well a double sided penny is worth 20c, so 10c.

It was not possible to strike a 1 sided penny. Some issues were struck with a die bearing the word 'model' on one side, others had one side officially tooled off (1937 issues). If it doesn't fit those categories it was probably manually tooled off after being struck.

First thing to do is weigh it to see if it has not just been milled down on a lathe. Then a good look under magnification. i had a one sided Penny listed this year on ebay that went over $500 with a stack of bids. But, weighed under weight, so was withdrawn. so they are worth quite a lot.
