Another ring to decode

    Here is another ring from the same estate. The labels are DPL 14k and sterling. Does that mean the gold coloured section is 14k gold and how would you get an accurate weight for pricing. There are a couple of like markings on eBay and they are being sold as 14k gold but they don't have a silver component. The hallmarks are also somewhat cutoff.     I'd cough up a beer if I'm wrong and say that that ring has been gold dipped on a full sterling ring. Dremel a small cut on the underside of the gold section will soon tell you

    I don't think that's it. There's a clear line where two metals have been joined but I won't claim the beer since I didn't show that photo.
    Might put it in my bag to take to the gold testers eventually.
