    I'm increasingly feeling that the 'Black Swan', dreaded by the world of finance, will be some type of banking horror story.

    this is highly politicised, as the US doesn't want to go after the big american banks (eg. Wachovia, Bank of America) who also laundered mexican drug money, so instead they go after a non US bank.

    its kinda playing out like Marc Faber said years ago, in that eventually the government "will go to war", in order to distract attention away from the financial disasters. Consider this move against HSBC part of this war.
