Thought I'd create a thread in case anyone gets any interesting/helpful/funny insights from the new AI's. Here are some of the basics I asked ChatGPT today:
Chat GPT tries to not answer as much as possible. It would be interesting to ask the Bing chat, but it's only closed to limited people at the moment.
The most rewarding aspect for me so far has been the luddites reactions. Honestly strap yourselves in - I thought BTC might be the most exciting technological creation I'll get to see in my lifetime but looks like we've got plenty more to come!
Some ChatGPT discussions re:gold and money: Competing Currencies - I was surprised at ChatGPT's comparative analysis of Ron Paul's old legislation (that never passed) and what Zimbabwe is doing today. Sound Money vs Fiat (Randy Savage style) - The Macho Man lays down the truth Lifecycle of a global reserve currency - ChatGPT is capable of insightful responses What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow (both african and european)? - Just for fun
It does different things depending upon what you ask of it. It can analyze, compare, calculate and "create" creative works. Just depends upon what you ask.
More or less. It just takes sentences from high ranking sites and spits out a slightly different version. It's a glorified idiot research assistant or maybe a glorified Machine learning algorithm. One thing is 100% sure, it's far from AI.
Agree, debating the consciousness/true AI aspects of current GTP versions is almost irrelevant. Even their lead creator Sam Altman is pretty comfortable saying it's not close to being that kind of entity. It's not a stretch to imagine that this kind of application could be foundational to future AI though is it..
Hard to say considering we have no understand on what it takes to make something "conscious". Since we don't understand how our brain works, it's therefore hard/impossible to replicate it.
