Can a Silver Stacker give me a helping hand as to what a 2005 and 2006 Gilded Kookaburra is worth. I don't know as yet whether they are U/C or proof though I do know that they come in an envelope. Would $57 be a good price to pay?

Also a gilded mice coin with 2 mice on it (It may be described as a mouse coin) year uncertain at this stage.

Do the proof coins come in boxes?

My son is now a Silver Scout but he is just learning the ropes as am I as far as this type of coin goes. I have to admit I don't know too much about gilded silver 1oz coins. He may have found an excellent buy.

Anyway any help from Silver Stackers will be appreciated.

    Regards Errol43

It was a joke, hence the lol comment. I will remember not to have a sense of humor on Silver Stackers for any future posts I might happen to make.

    My most humblest apologies.

Humor will not be tolerated ..... sarcasm on the other hand ....

2005 & 2006 gilded kooks could be worth up to $100 if buying from a dealer. For a private sale, I'd pay spot + premium for coin + little extra for gilding.

$57 is alright but try or lower if you can. They are nice to add to a collection but could only be worth spot if SHTF.

Usually the gilded's come in a box with coa. I picked up a 1oz gilded mouse (if yours has the 2 mice on it its the 2008 coin) for $70 in a box with COA a few weeks ago. Without the box and COA I would put the gilded coin only somewhere near the price of the coloured lunar versions which varies but lets say $60 for rough estimates.

ie. a gilded coin on its own probably has a value midway between the bullion version and the boxed/coa version.
