    Hey boss are the ads in the centre between the charts country specific? im giggling here seeing sushi voucher ads for group coupons coming up along with fashion house ads on a precious metals forum

    I think they must be targetted to your user profile and search history.

    All I am seeing is ads for porn sites

    Google cookies keep track of what you've been surfing and will serve ads based on that.

    After visiting this forum, I get silver ads on every other website I go to.

    I havent googled any sushi joints or fashion houses .Just a minute ago a hamburger ad came up lol i am the only one that uses my pc .It must take your location because the ads are for local places where i am i have been looking for hire cars apartments etc where im staying so it must log locations with their cookies aswell

    Just to clarify in case anyone is not clear on Google Ads - Silver Stackers has *zero* access to whatever browsing history is driving your ad content.

    Some tweaks are coming to advertising shortly, mostly around ensuring that site sponsors advertisements remain prominent.

    Oh I've seen that ad - there's a burger version as well. Whoever has placed it must be paying a fortune in ad fees - it's popping up everywhere. Probably using capital cities like "Melbourne" as keywords.

    While we're talking about ads, I've had a bit of a looksee but can't find anywhere a list of the site sponsors - ie the ones who advertise at the top of the site - their banners rotate every time you refresh.... is there a list with their links and what they offer anywhere? Reason this came up was after seeing your post GP about SuisseGold I saw their ad as I clicked through to a post but then had to refresh umpteen times till it came back up and I could then click through to their site (noice!!) ... this led me to search for some list of advertisers/sponsors

    Yep GP the burger ad just come up again its the same company it says burger vouchers then has "in [insert city] " underneath it .must be a worldwide campaign ive been in 2 countries & it has been in both

    Google has gathered so much data they can now predict what will happen in the future and are advertising for your future needs now so that when you want your burger it springs to mind.

    I think you guys are right a hire car just turned up with sushi & a hamburger on the front seat & some high heel stillettos on the back Im a bit dissapointed they forgot my lady gaga meat costume .... maybe next time
