Adelaide Meet - Suggestion Box

    To all Adelaide Stackers.

    It was ashame to see the last meet cancelled - due to a lack of interest.
    In an attempt to increase numbers, I'm putting it out to all Adeladians for suggestions......
    Maybe if all members can provide days , nights and times that best suit them.
    Also if wanting to change locations...please provide alternative venue (ideally a venue that has a private room)

    Also after suggestions on maybe having a meeting agenda (if necessary)

    Hopefully we will be able to reach a happy medium that will suit the majority :)

    I will start the wheel rolling

    1)most friday nights (after 7.00), saturday nights (after 7.00) and most sundays day or night.....(anytime..pending work commitments)
    2)happy with current venue......is central and has private function room for dealing and drinkings (but would also be happy trying alternative venues)
    3)frequency of meets...happy with every month or every two months

    For those that haven't attended a previous meet.....its actually quite a fun night plus is a great opportunity to talk with others that have a similar interest.
    Who knows you might even get some great deals.

    Also at the meet we have a great cross section of members.....those that have been stacking for years and some that have only just started..
    So there is no need to feel intimidated ......we don't bite :)

    Current Venue is good, Sundays are not really a great night for me, would prefer a Friday/ Sat night, then those that want to kick on and have night of it can do so :)

    I will be at the next one, sorry I havent made the last couple :(

    Weekends are usually fine mate. How long do these things usually go for? Got a 1 yr old at home so often its hard to get a sitter.

    Btw, I got an idea for a future meet. Anyone ever been on the tunnel tour that goes under the old treasury building in victoria square?

    I tried emailing tourismsa who run the tours but never got a reply :(

    Would be good to see the small smelter they have there! I'll try getting in touch with the tour operator again soon.

    Something south, rather then town :p haha nah i thought how it was atm is fine, just not so keen on going out on these wintery nights :(

    Past meets have gone for an average of 3 hours.....6.30 till 9.30

    If you have anything that your chasing or looking to sell...just post it before the meet.

    Also, one of our members deals in scrap gold and is very competitive with his prices.....tends to offer silver stacker members good rates close to spot.

    Past meets have been held at the Gilbert Hotel in the city....depending on numbers (10 + ) , they normally give us a private function room.

    PS: partners and friends are welcome.....

    I'm sure if I've forgotten anything ...other members will post it.

    Ok lets put a dates out there..... Lets see if we can break our record and get 20 + members at the next meet

    Hows the last weekend in August sound - Sunday 26th

    Gives members time to organize baby sitters , work etc........

    Maybe keep the same venue and time for now....... and at the meet discuss alternative dates and times

    PS: Reeves I have a spare knittered jumper and scarf that you can borrow :)
