    Hi All,

Have just rang the Gilbert Hotel to make the booking and they are closed on Sunday 27th Jan. ( for a staff xmas show )

Members have shown an interest to keep the same date of Sunday 27th January......and have a bbq/picnic in the park.

If you could be kind enough to let us know if your still interested in coming, that would be appreciated.

Also, please nominate if you prefer the Botanic Gardens or Bonython Park

Plus would 12.30 meet time suit those that are coming

    Cheers Frank

Sounds like a good idea...if we get enough interest and the boss isn't working....I'll second the idea.

Will keep the 10th Feb. as option B .

Sorry All.... I'm confused myself :/
Are peeps still keen to have the "meet in the park" on Sunday 27th January.

I'm in the process of sending pm's to those that responded to the origional post.....to clear up any confusion
So far it looks like being the bbq/picnic in the park.....Which park you ask .....no idea

Iluvnumbers has made some suggestion regarding parks....Botanic Gardens
Another popular park is Bonython Park, opposite coca cola.

    Origional date : Sunday January 27 ???
    Time : Lunch Time
Location : still to be decided.

A park should be fine for me. You should pick a location before getting everyone to RSVP tho, seems a little backwards at the moment.

Dude, you've seen most of us.....we are backwards :p

Fair point you raise - which park do you prefer, or are you happy to go with the flow

The only reason that I mentioned Bonython Park, is that I believe finding a car park would be a little easier than the Botanic Gardens car park, especially being a long weekend and the same car park is used by zoo go'ers.

Another vote here for Bonython park !!

I was at Botanic garden the other week and their parking fees are ridiculous (and their inspectors are quite anal - saw some young girls told off for trying to pick a leaf off one of those big fig trees)

Would also expect Bonython park to be a little more private than the Botanic gardens.

    OK,

    Location : Bonython Park
    Time : 12.30pm

    BYO : Food / Drinks

We may need to exchange some phone numbers prior, so that way we can find each other on the day.......think it will be too hot for the tin foil hats

Reckon - next time, you guys should meet at Blanchetown...hire a house boat, cruise up stream to a nice spot on the river, go fishing, catch a few yabbies and shrimp and crank up the barbie.

A good time would be after all the fire restrictions have passed (May 3-5)...that way you could have a rip roaring redgum fire on the bank and a few Westies plus the fishing is great at that time. :D
