Hahaha I hope they do it :)

It's only a matter of time until they'd have to anyways to try and keep this titanic afloat...might as well do it now right?

There is a big issue there, the propose of this big money printing is to bring up inflation, however, until now does not seems have any signal that inflation is growing, in fact, I think people thinking the economic is contrasting even under this massive printing.

So hard to tell what will end up to be happened, maybe one day all the sudden inflation got sky rocket over night?

The Fed could just obtain the logging rights to a large old-growth redwood forest and claim $30T of 'in ground reserves' ;)

Thats not true, there is signs of inflation but not on paper and certainly not in the press.
Why do you think the market is going up? - Asset prices rising - this is the start

Im sure if you ask the average person they are starting to notice cost co is getting a lot more buisiness

I dont think their concerns are for resources or the environment. A cashless society is more about having full finanicial control over us.

US bank notes are NOT printed on paper but shredded denim :/
    YEP shredded denim
That's why they don't want to start printing polymer notes
The shredded denim industry has a 50,000 strong work force & they don't want sack the entire workforce
And we have the best polymer printing technology in the world
That's why when they did print some polymer test notes they stuffed up to many to make it worthwhile

Inflation only occurs when the money printed gets into the hands of the masses who spend it only silly things like food, electricity, clothes and the like. But when the billions printed are given to top 1% then they keep it among themselves so it wont filter into the real economy.

To response to SilverSanchez and Metthew,

First US stock market going up mainly because a lot of investors move out from bond market and seek for somewhere else to invest which why stock goes up a bit.

Agree with Metthew, there is no sign of massive spending, people seems holding their money not spend at all, look at the GDP is down from last December, in normal circumstantial when there is money printing inflation will kick in. So far the Fed has printed large amount of money still not reflect in the economic. Yes, I agree printing money will help the finance system (banking balance sheet) going and keep the interest rate low.

All the new printed money (should say computer digits) does not seems helping inflation at all.

If they are going to physically print 30 trillion it will be like this big towers, look at the Gold Sachs

There is not way to print that many notes.

So what do the 1% do with the $$?

Buy assets? Who do they buy the assets from? Other 1%'ers?

See, if they are never ever going to spend the money, then what is the point of having it in the first place?

Funny though, if other countries started to dump these same US$ then maybe the 1% would amplify the devaluation by dumping theirs too.

Still, money is not power if you don't spend it.

They use it to speculate. Which drives up commodity prices, as well as other investment classes. Those commodities include things like wheat, rice, corn, etc which the 99% buy. It's either that or just watch your money dissolve at the hands of the money printers.

The only people who win from money printing are those who successfully pick where the money will flow. It turns the markets into a huge casino.
