    Hi,
    I am about to receive an item that is stamped 925 A1 silver. I have never heard of A1 unless combined with EPSN.

    Has anyone heard of A1 925, minus the EPSN?

    Thanks for any help.

    EPNS = Electro-Plated Nickel Silver

    I will be worried getting those item without a hallmark on them.
    A1 doesn't mean anything, 925 stamp are readily available anywhere these days.
    Can get from any jewellery supplies for about $20

    thanks guy's, I thought that might be the case. I will know for certain when I get my hands on it.

    I'm not too worried as I didn't pay much, I took a small risk, in the hopes it was sterling silver.

    I have seen those stamps on ebay, I was thinking this piece may have originally just had the A1 silver stamp, and some sneaky bugger went and stamped the 925.
