Can anyone share any information on the 888 investment group? I picked up a 1kg silver bar stamped with the 888 Chinese dragon logo but I am finding it extremely difficult to research anything on the web. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I've got one of these except it's marked 1/3 kilo, but weighs 1/2 kilo.

I can verify it's the only one of it's type.

It was produced in Keilor in Melbourne. It was fun to see the eyes of the guy who made it when I told him.

    aaahhh. Fond Memories.

Do you know how many of the 1kg bars were minted?

Over 500 and under 5000 - Best Guess based on knowledge of the business throughput. This assumes all silver was made into 1kg bars.

I know of 20 5kg 888 bars that were sold by a Melbourne based retailer.

I recently acquired this from a SS member. They actually pointed me to this thread , as I couldn't identify the logo. Good to know where it comes from.

Really like it as a bar. Something a little different.
