Just wondering what your thoughts are on a good price for the 1982-1987 7 1/10 coin set and whether or not I should grade the sets. I don't know much about these sets and its been difficult to find information.

Does anyone know how these sets grade? I'm just getting into the panda scene and wanted to try grading ngc. I was thinking of sending them to NCS/NGC and then add them to my collection. Is that a reasonable plan or an entirely n00b thing to do? Also, how come the '80's prices are lower when compared to the early 90's and late 00's? Is it purely on mintage?

    Thank for your input.

If not wrong this is not a formal set done by China mints. It is the distributor packaging and selling in USA.

You can subscript to pricepedia to check the prices. However, it excludes private transactions and some transactions are months and years back information.

I usually add or minus 10-20% as my own reference.
