$6 premium of hummers over 1KG pamp on bullionbourse?! Is this because pamps are in low supply and have a premium or hummers are unpopular? Crazy, I like Pamps, BUT my next purchase is hummers for sure.
no need to get racist Hummer AFAIK = 1Kg coin, but i've only started reading the book, some of the people here probably wrote it
i think pamps are way sexier than a novelty over-sized coin no offence intended we all have our favourites
Anyone else think the 1kg coins are too thick? I would like it to be the same thickness of the 10oz, but have a bigger radius.
I have been known to bring colour into it, but only to take the piss out of myself thanks for the explination TG
I think I read on one of the threads that Aurora et Luna is credited with "coining" the term hummer for the 1kg round. Correct me if I am wrong ,Steve
He has had "Hummers" listed in his website as far as I can remember. Anyway, I don't think it's got anything to do with popularity/unpopularity of any certain product. I think you should look at prices listed form other online dealers.
Any suggestions? Tried bullionmark but they only had a 2008 hummer. Price is about ~70 on th official PM site. AEL has a 2009 koala pretty cheap
I humbly accept that honour  Started using that term for a kilo coin years ago when I posted on Kitco. I have a real affection for these coins. At one stage I actually had a collection of 15 of these babies
ABC Sydney for starters. http://www.abcbullion.com.au/index.php/default/product/51 Gold Bullion Australia, sell PAMP and PM coins, but don't have live prices listed. Even like you mentioned comparing PM bars to coins there is a $70 spread between them (PM site, Ainsle etc...)
