I have found a well priced 5kg bar for sale. Would it be too hard to move it on in the future? I'm considering it as its selling for under spot....
It will only be hard to move if you do your back in carrying it around all the time showing all your friends.
A 5kg bar won't be anywhere near as easy to move as a pile of 10oz bars. Potential buyers and sales opportunities will both be far fewer in number.
It may be slightly more illiquid as not many have or are willing to spend ~$4k on silver in one go but I've seen 5kg bars move very quickly on here once they're priced below spot. I bought one mainly for sh1ts and giggles but also made it the core part of my stack that I won't be selling for a long time. By then, it should be easy to shift for under spot if needs be. In staying that, I'd still go for smaller bars unless it's significantly under spot.
My limit has been 1 kg bars.If silver goes up say $20/oz you can expect to be able to sell around spot so you would make a few $.Most buyers dont have the cash to buy 5 kgs at one time.
5kg under spot = BUY I've just sold a number of ~32kg (1000oz) bars at several percent over spot through this forum. Not everyone brags about their purchases - plenty of half tonne investors out there that keep quiet. If you were in Melbourne I would buy it at spot off you today.
How do people move around 1000oz of silver? Even moving it onto a trolley would be a challenge for some people.
Ok guys and gals. I'm going to stop ahming... And ahhing over it. If I buy it my gf will kill me. So here is the add for the 5kg bar. The owner said its still available. http://m.gumtree.com.au/v?adId=1020571246
Peptide does wonder. On a serious note, if it housed in a good size box, it's reasonably easy to carry, with the right motivation. You can ask my wife...
