which of these three would be the best for a fractional collection in your opinion?
the view is to have an item that will be easy to sell regardless of gold price.
which of the 3 could appreciate in premium value more then the other two?
I understand that I can get more gold for my money buying larger size
but to me, just as fractional's have a premium today, so to will it have tommorow,
one of these though will have the highest premium, which one?

    .5g mini kangaroo $55 unlimited

From those 3, I'd choose 1/10. Has the least premium, and more collectible (you can actually see it without squinting too much) :p

ditto the above. I'd never get the 0.5g and the 1/25's are too teeny as well

Of those choices, ditto the 1/10oz.

My current rule of thumb for assessing value of fractionals is to never pay more than the 1/2oz premium to a 1oz. Saying that however, after building up a relationship with my local dealer (who knows I'll come back once I get more cash) I've managed to pick up a range of stuff between 7.5g-20g (bars and coins) at the same price per oz as he sells 1oz.

From what I have been told (I haven't sold anything yet) the 2nd hand dealers won't pay any more per oz for fractionals. Further, unless an exceptional piece, they won't pay more for proof coins compared to bullion. Consequently I have a range of proof stuff in my stack but without ever paying more than the cost of standard bullion. It's definitely much prettier to look at and I'd buy it in preference to bullion but it's not intrinsically "worth" more.

I usually find you can buy fractionals in bulk and save. Hence, if you prefer 1/4oz's then try to buy 4 at a time and negotiate the same (or close to) the 1oz price.

Finally, I also hate the teeny-weeny writing on the tiny coins and basically think it's just as stupid as the Zimbabwe printing the trillion dollar notes with all the zeroes.
