50c coin sounds different?

    JUst came across a 1994 "year of the family" 50c coin. It stood out in my change because I heard a clink that just didn't sound right. It almost sounds more like a round 50 than it does any other regular 50 I have been able to compare it with. Any plausible explanation for this?
