A guy I know is offering me rolls of these and i really donno their prices , i know the rolls are from around late 80's, they worth much or just a bit above face value. And which 50c pieces are really rare and worth keeping/collecting.
Need more info! 1985 are very hard to get hold of and would be worth a fair bit, especially in top condition. Remember that some rolls were re-rolled and are not the same coins all the way through. Also some years had multiple issues but none that I can think of in the 80s, 1982 was a commeorative issue but nothing exciting. McDonalds guide has prices for rolls but unfortunately I gave my last copy away!
Check in the Krause catalogs the mintage figures on all the 50 Cent pieces minted. Perform frequency analysis, those years that have mintages of less than 3% of total will be worth something, those that have total mintages of less than 0.1% of total will be worth a lot more. Once you have the data, than gotta go into the field and do some research. Go to eBay.com.au and perform Completed Listings analysis on all the 50 Cent pieces ( Excl 66 of course ) those that have sold for the most money are the ones you would be after.
