That is a problem for ppl who think the USD is gone as a dodo in fukushima. Seriously silver is in USDs and if the USD goes away or worse hyper inflates who decides what silver is worth?! Its nice to point to something outside your self to say what the the price of silver is worth...
But if the USD hyperinflates to become worthless you would have had 2 options: 1. Hold the 42 USD 2. 1oz of silver Which do you think will be more useful when the USD goes the way of Zimbabwe?
for sure it is easy but in trading with mr X for a Y now you can say "look silver is woth $42 according to the LBMA, Comex etc and Et al...", what does the future hold?
No one would honestly know, it could the Chinese RMB, Euro, Yen, GBP or some new world currency. But the important thing is to note that the 42 USD would in that case be completely worthless whereas silver will still have some intrinsic value.
I think this run up is the last one of the week - lets hope for aroudn $42.50 close so i can win my own comp SPOT $42.20 and less than 10 hrs left til close - maybe a bit to early with the run up we will see
Totally forgot about the comp! The POS always seems to go beyond my expectations, so I guess we all win if you look at it like that.
