    Hi All,

Just curious about the popularity of the silver pandas amongst stackers. Ive recently got my hands on some 2022 pandas and was unsure what the outlook on these coins is both short and long term. Any feedback is much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Costa

Back when I joined the forum they were very popular with a solid collector base, and commanded high premiums. I seem to remember a massive load of fakes washed through the market though and haven't seen much of them around here since. Can anyone verify this?

There are still fakes around but much less than before.
Some dumb Collectors were unhappy and left over 1.1 gm less weight.

In my opinion the most collectable Pandas are those with the lowest mintage. Mintages have been quite high for over a decade now, for me my preference will be pre 2000.

The new 2023 Panda's look great. Looks like a proof coin.

I have a few of them and some panda gold but i dont seek them out. They were good price when i bought them and happened to be at my LCS that day.

It seems like a high premium but thats me and my market in Bumphuk Colorado haha.

As an American and with access to everything on Google at my fingertips and with free shipping, they seem a bit high.

The Panda collectors could be backing up the truck for all i know.

Panda's are a high premium coin, but now that most coins seems to have a high premium they are no longer more expensive than others.

I was looking on Apmex and saw the new panda is either equal or less expensive than any other coin. Not sure why coins are so expensive on Apmex atm, American eagles are still through the roof! Event the silver 2023 rabbit is going for a crazy price over there!

Yes there are some crazy premiums and you have to decide if its worth it i guess. I dont have a problem passing up Eagles or any of that.
Ive been finding better deals in bars lately.

You think the panda premium is crazy, try the queen beasts.
I'd bought the panda yearly since the early nineties,
but refuse to pay the ridiculous markup to the british mint.
The premium for Eagles look fair compare to those beasts

There are still bars and rounds for 25 or 26 an oz.
Even the Golden State Mints Silver Shield collection is $27 an oz. Much cooler than a panda or the queens cringey mug on yer coin haha.
