We've got a pandemic, eventually it will pass. The Turkish Lira? I don't follow its progress and don't really care. The petrodollar system? What is the obsession amongst gold and crypto bulls with that? Scrambling to grasp at any straw that will conform their bias methinks. They can trade paperclips for oil for all that matters.

A crisis creates collateral damage that strains government and private sector resources creating undue economic and social harm. Governments and politicians find it easier to retain power during benign periods. Hence, they don't deliberately create crisis, they may respond to threats in a manner that may have unintended consequences or even acceptable collateral damage. None of the crisis we're facing now have been deliberately started by our governments.
