When the BU Swan was released there was a frenzy and rush to buy them and then people where selling them with high mark ups but as time has gone on the demand has certainly dried up

Maybe I should just flip the proof swans I got too for max profit, as I think like the BU the frenzy will die off soon with these too and the high premiums will start to drift back

    Hmmmm, decisions decisions

Flip a few now for $200 or just sit tight and hold long term?

I did only buy 2 (wish I got more now) so maybe I should sell 1 which means I basically keep the other one for free :)

yep I have a few too, would flip a surplus within the first month but still withhold a few for the future as well if you have them. Its easy to double the initial release price on a limited silver proof of course depending on the actual design series. Try doing the same with a gold 1 oz Swan, cant see too many going for $3400 Aud in the first week.
If you are constructing a selection of Vintage swans and the new series like me its a no brainer to keep a few for the long haul.

I opened one, and have left the other one still in its plastic wrapper :)

Got mine direct from PM delivered by Toll, just a pointer, don't rip the cardboard packaging apart in your car it is like insulation, went absolutely everywhere.

Haha SB, I've ordered from them before and found out about that horrible insulation style packaging they use last time I ordered so was aware this time! It's horrible!

wondering how everyone else did for serial numbers?

I ended up with my first three in mid 1600's up to early 1700's, I have 2 more coming in the mail and not that 2500 total mintage is a lot but it would be nice to have an early one from the first couple of hundred struck.

APMEX posted OMP and Graded sets. Glad I was able to put a stop on my gold OMP purchase and buy some of the MS70's. Stoked!! Those 3 piece sets with a mintage of 250 look pretty snazy. Only 50 set with the COA 1 - 50 PF70 FR. I love these swans. I love that it is a series. and hopefully they continue down the path of making beautiful swans. https://www.apmex.com/category/90780/perth-mint-swan-series
