I did read / hear somewhere about 50,000 "error" coins were produced. But the Perth Mint is not acknowledging there was an error; thought I think coin grading services are identifying these coins as a type or variety (and not an error).
Well spotted. I was thinking of the Kook or Lunar 1 oz mintage of 500k. So 10% of 50k is 5,000. And this is second-hand information, which might not be correct.
Perth Mint didnt even acknowledge that there was an error so knowing how many there are could be a little tricky...
Also beautiful coin, in my opinion, one of the best looking series ever made. I couldnt resist flipping mine though
