Received this great looking medal today, as I could not find any topic about this medal I will post the pictures over here.
Minted last year by the Shanghai mint, maximum mintage number is only 200 in piefort .

Very nice! Why do they call it the year of the horse? I thought it was the baby panda? Very nice! These are popping nicely on eBay.

you reside in Neterland BUT using sgcoin as nick. SGCOIN is a china coin dealer in sg.

This is baby panda in ebay. Peter did mention it in march/april pricepedia as mystery because no topic and theme of issuing this medal.

speculative that they test market for acceptance of 30 gram panda instead of 31.3 gram or 1 oz for the coming year bullion panda.

PF69 is very good grade of this panda medal. many get very low grade.

There is many hairline and dark spot of this medal in your photo even consider as one of the high grade of this medal.

Is that true for the physical stuff? I relay want to get a hand on this BUT a be hesitant due to the quality of it as heard from friend.

On ebay the do sell it as baby panda, but Jia wu means "Year of the horse" (as I was told, but I can not read Chinese ). This medal has a weight of 30 grams but there is also a 15 gram silver medal.

Andrew, My name is Sander Groenendijk that's why I got the name sgcoins.
There are no hairlines or dark spots on the medal its all on the slab, and the way I took the pictures.
NGC only graded 5 medals as PF69 ultra cameo

Nice to meet you. There is other material for this medal.

You are totally right which Jia Wu is "year of Horse" in mandarin.

I might touch my hand on this medal. However, it is at high price now. I love panda very much.

    Are you panda lover?

This looks nice. :) How much did you pay if it's not secret?

Bah if I will ever make my own coins I will make some series with pandas. You cannot make "not cute" Panda. :D

It's not a secret, I did pay us$298 for it. This is not cheap, but with a mintage of only 200 I still think it's good value ;)
