    I am looking at the mintage for the 2014 Lunar Horse 1oz proof and it states 5,000 yet when I look at the mintage for the typeset 1 oz proof it states a total mintage of 8,500. Why the difference? Are they the same 1oz proof? Is the real max mintage for the 2014 Lunar Horse proof actually 8,500?!

    *from what I understand:

    the typeset has a max release of 1,500 sets this includes;
    1oz proof which has a total max mintage of 8,500
    1oz bullion which has a total max mintage of 300,000
    1oz gilded which has a total max mintage of 50,000
    1oz coloured which has a total max mintage of 170,000

    It actually states a maximum mintage of 8500 proofs it could be less but not more,as Perth mint often declare a mintage, to date they have sold 7500 1oz proofs.
    Yes they are the same 1 oz proofs.

    They are also selling the 1oz high relief horse with a maximum mintage of 7500 but again it could be a lot less as they are not sold out and Perth mint are likely to declare a mintage which could be substantially lower than 7500.
