When do official numbers get released for mintage numbers of the proof finish numismatic Lunar Horse coins?

I am looking for mintage numbers for all sizes of the proof coins up to and including the proof kilo / kg size.

    Thanks for any help.

    @ Holdfast,

Thanks. I know where to find mintage totals for Perth Mint numismatic coins up to 2012 but I thought that like the US Mint does, the Perth Mint posts weekly sales reports with cumulative totals for each coin. The PM does not?

Does the "Sold Out" designation necessarily mean that the "Maximum Mintage" for that size was actually minted and sold or that whatever number less than the maximum mintage number was produced for that particular size coin was sold out and no more additional of that size to be minted?

In other words, if it were to be indicated that the 2013 1 kg Proof Snake was "Sold Out", does that necessarily mean that 500 pieces were sold or that whatever less than 500 that were minted were sold out and that only 250 might be the total final mintage number?

Would the PM publish final sales numbers for 2014 numismatic coins before the close of the year 2014? The US Mint would do that with coins that have a maximum mintage limit.

If the 1kilo proof lunar is SOLD OUT in the Sales to Date column of the pdf document it has reached it's Maximum Mintage and no more coins will be struck; that's it, finished.

If however a particular Kilo proof lunar coin has not reached its Maximum Mintage but has a Declared Mintage no more coins will be struck; that's it, finished.

The Perth Mint can always declare a coin (Close off the mintage forever) if they wish; a good example is the 2008 Kilo Proof coin which could of had a mintage of 500 coins but only 171 coins were struck; no more 2008 Kilo proof coins will ever be minted, that's it, no more.

    2008 example page 3 of 9.

It's a good idea to go through each pdf document to see if the coins are Declared or not.

    Perth updates.

Unlike other mints, Perth do not update their sales figures very often.

I'm not privy to why Perth do that but it has advantages for Perth and stackers.

imo, if folk suspected a particular mintage was going to be low and...that figure was published say weekly or monthly it wouldn't be a low mintage for very long (maybe). Better to keep stackers guessing. :)

The other factor is that Perth can Declare a mintage closed at any time they like so knowing this...if folk don't buy sooner than later they could miss-out and have to buy on the secondary market. :D

    Sold Out
