Price has come down quite a bit on the 5 ounce Pandas. I wonder why?

Mintage probably. From 10k to 50k for the 5oz since 2010 (or maybe it was 2011)

50k is a lot for a proof silver coin... They might as well just mint them as bullion and increase the mintage to 1mil.

China might flood the market like Japan treat other countries like dumping ground.

The price go lower and lower mintage higher and higher for silver panda.

However, the other china numic coin mintage has dropped sharply. West lake kg silver proof is a good example as compare to last series same kg proof coin.

My hypothesis on why the recent dropped of almost all proof coins in China.... is due to the strong drive by Xi Jin Peng to cut down corruption..... so less apertitte for "gifts"...
