Coming from the Royal Canadian Mint, the Howling Wolf coin is the first of a three coin series in a new annual bullion series featuring the "Call of the Wild". Released as a full 1 ounce, .99999 pure gold coin, the Howling Wolf boasts the highest purity on the retail market today.

In tradition with other 2014 RCM coins, the Howling Wolf displays a Security Feature to help confirm the authenticity of the coin. This piece also offers a $200 CAD face value, the highest of any legal tender 1 oz gold bullion coin.

    It's sells for around $1,300

I like the vertical "grain" in Royal Canada Mint coins.

    Like this coin, too.

Do any Australian sellers think they will be getting these in?

I said many times that they should have done the CWL series in 1oz gold coins too. Except the Cougar.

I like the coin, just not too sure that I want to buy any gold at the moment.

Will get one for personal collection. But these coins will be minted to demand.

Several sites are stating that the mintage is limited to 2,000 coins. At Gainesville, I was able to add 9,999 of them to the shopping cart. No rush on buying these wolves.

James, Gainesville has them for about $1307USD. These are bullion coins, albeit nice ones.

    Edit for update.

Apparently there are proof and bullion versions of this coin. The proof version has a mintage of 2,000 coins and is priced at $2799CA. The bullion version is closer to $1300USD.

Yea. Limited mintage for the proof, although very pricey.

TBH, this coin would be better looking than the royal lunar horses.

    Cheers :)

Gainesville coins have them on pre sale. That's the cheapest I've seen so far.

um JmBullion is always the cheapest place.. :| & it's by bank wire so you will pay for that to & probably shipping. Jmbullion is free shipping (assuming you aren't paying thousands of dollars). To keep cost as low as possible I just made a bunch of 15oz orders so I didn't have to do bank wire. (Besides uncle sam is on to me ). Hopefully they will drive a brinks truck up my driveway when delivery comes. :D I will wait till tomorrow to see if prices go down. They are up because of the big christmas purchases over in japan or china. I forget which one it was where everyone buys bullion as christmas gifts. - (just my theory) http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/chinas-gold-demand-remains-robust-after-lunar-new-year-holiday-1435574

    - The goal is to have more than fort knox in my laser vault that calls in a strike team if one of the lasers are hit as seen in the movies lol. :|
