Since there's a thread for Kooks and Dragons... this thread is dedicated to the most important coin of all.

    The 2012 Koala!!!!!!

When is the 2012 Koala going to be available for purchase?

More importantly, the 2012 Carded Koalas.

carded koalas .... i heard they are hot sellers, 2000 of em ran out during the last bull run.

I am sure you can make money off em if you bury em underground for 20 years.

And if they don't appreciate in value you can always take them out and make Deep Fried Salt & Pepper Koalas.

So... seriously though, is the release date same as Dragons and Kooks in September or are Koalas released in 2012 January?

Koalas were the first Perth Mint coins I purchased. I'm excited to add another to the collection. Thankfully there is some time between the Lunar, Kook and Koala releases so I can rebuild my fiat stack.

Those who own Koalas should all have a talk together, all the Koalas should be collected - and shipped for a swap/sale to either USA or UK or Germany.

I mean, if you are having problems here in Australia swapping 1 oz Koalas into any of the following 1 oz coins; Silver Eagles, Maples, Kookaburras, Philharmonikers, Pandas ;) , or 3 x 50 Cent pieces - than they should all be shipped to a place where the aversion ( low premium associated with the Koala ) is lesser and swapped for silver coins which when brought back to Australia would have a HIGHER premium than the Koalas commanded.
