Seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2011-TASMANI...180634383828?pt=AU_Coins2&hash=item2a0ea5f5d4 I own the Silver version and wasn't aware that there were to be any type of other releases in the "series". Anyone know any further details about this??
Nope .... eBay listing does state "real images of the coin will be available after the issue" though. Could be a replica of the silver coin minted in gold by a mint other than Perth Mint ... maybe.
The 2011 Tasmanian Tiger silver proof from the Perth Mint is a Tuvalu coin release - this eBay auction is for a Niue gold coin being sold in advance. Unrelated coins - the use of the Tuvalu coin image is poor marketing.

I grabbed one of the silver coins when it came out...really nice coin Would definitely be interested in a gold version if this is for real Will have to keep an eye on Perth Mint/Downies/Euro Collections websites for any news. Thanks for alerting us to it
Argh... damn dead links. Atleast it confirms that they actually exist! Just intrigues me more and doesnt really answer any of my questions tho I know where to keep an eye out tho... let's hope they pop up officially somewhere soon.

If it's a 1oz gold proof it's already so far out of my price range that it can stay 404 for all I can do anything about it.
I also got this brochure in the mail today I would love one of these, but I'm not taking out a loan for an ounce of gold, and I'd never be able to bring myself to sell it.

Awesome! That original listing has gone back up, but with a heavily discounted price. Rather happy to see that Downies/ECI are still cheaper Grabbed mine earlier this arvo.
If I had the money I would have purchased one by now DOH !! Also I heard and still hearing that the Silver release is in fact the start of a new collection so this may be how they do it first Silver, Then Gold. So we may see a new Silver release this year then ? If someone got one I reckon you may see a very nice return even with the premium attached.
Hi guys, new to this forum. Can someone please tell me how much they are sold for? I was quoted $2500 USD for this beautiful coin yesterday and not sure whether this price is fair or not. I was not able to find it anywhere online but on eBay for $3200 but think that this is way overpriced.
