Does anyone have info on the Big Eye Panda? Probably way too soon to have an exact mintage figure, but like, what happened to make them big? Were they all minted at the same facility? Will NGC designate the phenomenon when grading, now or in the future? Does any one else get creeped out by those big eyes staring at ya? LOL Seriously, any info at all would be welcomed.
The bigger and more significant different I found on my coin is not the big eye, but one coin has the frosted white finish and the other is just simple metallic. http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...1oz-silver-panda-varieties-or-mint-error.html
Very interesting and a significant difference. I like the frosted for effect. I wonder if it's a release for China like before?
Below is my opinion 1.as they coming from different mint factory, the mould will be different. 2. each mould have a limited minage number, if one mould minted more than 200000 coins then may breakdown with it's design. the same theory like Toner on printer.
So it might be a while before any solid mintage figures and definitive cause come to light? Being it's the Chinese, we may never get all the facts.
